ResTOR Modular Resection Prosthesis
ResTOR (Resection of Tumor and Optimal Reconstruction), a cemented, modular resection prosthesis system that enables reconstruction following limb salvage surgery.ResTOR allows surgical reconstruction following tumors of:
- Â Â Â Â Proximal, Distal & Total Femur,
- Â Â Â Â Proximal Tibia,
- Â Â Â Â Diaphyseal regions of the Femur/Humerus,
- Â Â Â Â Proximal, Distal and Total Humerus
The ResTOR system may also be a suitable option for revision of conventional joint replacement prosthesis with extensive bone loss.
RT-Modular
The RT-Plus Modular is a constrained rotating knee prosthesis for condylar cemented implantation. The prosthesis is designed to allow an internal/external rotation of approximately ten degrees each, this is locked by the tibial insert when extended. In the RT-Modular knee system, the required stability and absorption of acting forces are assured by the joint mechanism between the tibia and femoral components, the condylar articulating surfaces, the anchoring elements in the tibia and the femur and the still intact soft tissue structures. The main indications for implantation of RT-Modular are :
- High grade joint destruction with considerable loss of function and requirement for additional stabilization with longer stems and reconstruction of bone defects
- Severe joint instability that predictably cannot be corrected by suitable bone reconstruction (bone grafts) or soft-tissue intervention
- Marked contractures and axial displacements of more than 15 -20 degrees
- Failure after surface replacement (e.g infection, loosening), revision of primary prosthesis
