The MediLED Phototherapy system is an innovative phototherapy light, incorporating a state-of-the-art blue LED light source for the treatment of newborn jaundice. The MediLED light can be placed directly on top of an incubator or can be attached to the SM-401 warmer. It has the most effective degradation of Bilirubin as it emits blue light in the 450 – 475 nm spectrum, matching the peak absorption wavelength (458 nm) at which Bilirubin is broken down.
It features two intensity settings to switch between standard (15 µW/cm²/nm) and intensive (35 µW/cm²/nm) phototherapy and does not emit significant UV or IR radiation
